Tim Parkman is an expert trainer, facilitator and consultant in the fields of Anti-Money laundering, Counter-Terrorist Financing and Workplace Ethics. He has designed and implemented major training programmes for organizations such as the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development, The European Central Bank, The Inter American Development Bank, Standard Chartered, Sun Life Canada, HBOS, The Court Funds Office (UK), Dubai Islamic Bank and a range of other public and private sector institutions. Before setting up Lessons Learned, Tim spent the formative years of his career as a lawyer, Compliance Officer and MLRO at Standard Chartered Bank, when he lived and worked in a number of important OECD and emerging markets. He is co-author of “Countering Terrorist Finance: A Training Handbook for Financial Services” (Gower/Ashgate – July 2007).
Gabriella Wright is an experienced trainer and facilitator on workplace issues, including in the fields of Ethics and Conduct and Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorist Financing compliance. Gabriella draws on her experience as a specialist in employment law, having formerly been a partner in the London law firm, Charles Russell. She has developed and delivered workshop-based training sessions for international and UK-based clients, and has written numerous articles for, and contributed to, a number of compliance publications.
Gill Peeling is a learning design specialist with over 20 years experience in designing and delivering learning and evaluation solutions, with a particular emphasis on legal and regulatory matters. She has written the learning needs analyses, evaluation methodologies and training content on a range of important assignments. Gill is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and co-author, with Tim Parkman, of “Countering Terrorist Finance: A Training Handbook for Financial Services” (Gower/Ashgate – July 2007).
Based in Dubai, UAE, Jirayr Habibian is Lessons Learned Middle East representative. A graduate of Montpellier University and St Jospeh’s University lay school, he is a Lebanese attorney with a wide range of practical experience in dealing with a Anti-Money Laundering and Compliance issues across the region, as well as being a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. As a head of Legal and Compliance for the Standard Chartered Group, and subsequently as a senior manager in the Compliance and Financial Crime Risk Unit he managed police and regulatory liaison and advised and operated in a range of key areas including suspicion reporting, fraud investigation and Economic Sanctions.
Based in La Paz, Bolivia, Guillermo Pou Munt is Lessons Learned’s Latin America representative. Guillermo is a widely published and respected expert on business ethics and a commanding facilitator and trainer to both public and private sector organizations across the Latin America and Caribbean regions.
